New orleans saints name neil weiner coach of the week
The New Orleans Saints have named Head Football Coach Neil Weiner the High School Coach of the Week. On Thursday, November 7, representatives from the Saints traveled to Baton Rouge to make the announcement to Coach Weiner and the football team.
On Friday night, Coach Weiner, who also serves as Dunham’s Director of Athletics, and the Tigers took on Slaughter Community Charter in their last regular season game. After a 56-16 victory, the team clinched the district championship to head into the playoffs not only as the No. 1 overall seed in LHSSA Division III Select but also the only top-seeded team from Baton Rouge.
Following a bye week, the Tigers, who boast a 10-0 season, will take on the winner of the Parkview Baptist/Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy bi-district match up in the regionals on November 22.
